Skkynet exhibited its secure IIoT technology at ARC Industry Forum on February 6-9, 2017 in Orlando, Florida. New embedded systems technologies and Industry 4.0 protocol support drove Skkynet’s demos of the Industrial IoT. The hands-on IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) demo let users interact securely with a live embedded system from their mobile devices over OPC UA, the recommended protocol for Industry 4.0.

Skkynet and partners showcased secure IoT at ET2016 on November 16-18 in Yokohama, Japan.  NiC, a Skkynet subsidiary, collaborated with Skkynet partners Nissin Systems, Co. Ltd. and BellChild Co., Ltd to demonstrate secure, end-to-end Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity. The joint exhibit, which features the Skkynet ETK connected to BellChild’s iBRESS Secure Micro Cloud Service, to give engineers, developers, and executives a chance to access and control Renesas Synergy™ Platform hardware from their mobile phones, over a secure, real-time, two-way data communications link.

Skkynet showcased its connectivity solution by Renesas at ARM TechCon on October 26-27, 2016 in Santa Clara, California.  A live demonstration of Skkynet’s ETK running on the Renesas Synergy™ Platform and connecting to SkkyHub™ allowed hardware engineers, software developers, and industry executives to access and control Synergy-based embedded systems from in-plant, mobile and the IoT cloud, in real time.

Skkynet presented at JETRO’s Japan IoT Market Seminar on October 11, 2016 in Toronto.  The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) hosted the seminar to highlight the opportunities for Canadian IoT companies in Japan and the opportunities to work with Japanese partners to develop IoT solutions for global markets.
