Are you a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a marketing manager who will be responsible for all marketing and advertising campaign activation, including content, social media, google ad words, web site and trade show support. The manager will be responsible for providing monthly activation and performance reporting, including web analytics.

The preferred candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years of marketing experience. Ideally you bring experience working with media partners, data
analytics, managing digital and social media, as well as experience developing campaign creative and sales collateral.

Reporting to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing, the ideal candidate must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and have strong attention to detail.  Experience in B2B and/or experience working with a technology company is an asset. The ideal candidate must have strong verbal and written skills in English; multilingual candidates preferred. This position is remote only.

The Business Development Manager – Germany is a highly focused role that reports to the Directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying prospective channel partners and OEMs that meet a specific target profile, contacting key decision makers at the company, developing interest and showcasing online demonstrations. This role also provides support towards closing and enabling OEM and channel partners.

Business Development Manager Duties

Tasks include:

  • Identifying and recruiting new OEM opportunities in Germany
  • Identifying and recruiting new reseller partners in Germany
  • Working with Skkynet’s personnel as appropriate to assist with identification and policy for OEMs and resellers in Germany
  • Developing channel and OEM opportunities through a combination of warm and cold calls, networking and use of referrals
  • Performing demonstrations of Skkynet’s solutions, and cloud platform
  • Scheduling follow-up calls to move accounts further along in the sales process
  • Developing and managing relationships with multiple contacts at each account
  • Traveling to prospect offices for presentations (when available)
  • Managing the resolution and execution of mutual NDAs, reseller agreements sales contracts
  • Assisting new resellers with business planning, as required
  • Providing market intelligence and feedback to management
  • Building trustworthy relationships with Senior Management and all internal stakeholders at Skkynet
  • Effective use of our CRM tool
  • Other tasks as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven success selling software into the Industrial Automation sector
  • Must reside in Germany
  • Must be fluent in German and be able to communicate proficiently in English
  • Must be able to SELL; prospect, qualify, pursue, close, address objections and understand our solutions offerings, services, and our vendor partner’s products
  • Leadership skills to influence clients and internal sales team members to think and act strategically when qualifying opportunities, developing sales positioning messages, key win themes, solution scope and phasing, and what it will take to win deals
  • Driven, goal-oriented professional with mental toughness to weather the ups and downs of long sales and business cycles
  • Strategic thinker with outstanding communication skills; oral and written
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated and leads a disciplined sales process
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team sales effort, and to successfully operate in a flexible, virtual operating environment
  • Substantial work at home experience
  • Proven track record as a successful sales executive
  • The ability to effectively build relationships with all levels of the organization, and to lead and influence across functions
