Inside Technical Sales Consultant (Industrial Automation)
Are you ready to join a dynamic team at the forefront of real-time data integration and industrial automation? We are seeking an Inside Technical Sales Consultant to help drive our sales growth by engaging with prospective customers, understanding their technical needs, and presenting innovative solutions like Cogent DataHub™ and Microsoft Azure offerings.
As an integral part of our sales team, you will leverage your technical expertise, communication skills, and consultative approach to build relationships, address customer challenges, and contribute to the growth of our business. This role offers a remote work setup but requires candidates to be based in the Toronto GTA.
Key Responsibilities
Proactive Lead Management
- Identify and qualify potential customers through lead generation activities such as warm calling, email campaigns, and utilizing marketing resources.
- Build a robust pipeline by targeting technical decision-makers and demonstrating the value of our solutions.
Consultative Selling
- Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and pain points.
- Recommend tailored solutions, showcasing the benefits of our products and services in driving operational efficiency.
Relationship Building
- Cultivate strong relationships with prospects and existing customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.
- Proactively anticipate customer needs and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Sales Collaboration
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Provide technical insights for proposals, pricing, and sales collateral.
Coordinate with engineering and other internal teams to translate customer requirements into feasible solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in B2B inside sales, technical sales, or related roles, preferably in software or technology industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of real-time data integration, industrial automation, SCADA, Industrial protocols, or related domains.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish) is a plus.
- Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Work Conditions
- Location: Remote position; must reside in Toronto GTA.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday.
- Compensation: Salary based on experience, with bonus pay opportunities.
