Skkynet Joins Advantech B+B SmartWorx Connected Intelligence Ecosystem

New IoT initiative, Advantech B+B SmartWorx Connected Intelligence Ecosystem, will redefine industrial process control and leverage Skkynet’s SkkyHub™ service for secure, real-time data connectivity.

Mississauga, Ontario, January 21, 2015 – Skkynet Cloud Systems, Inc. (“Skkynet” or “the Company”) (OTCQB:SKKY), a global leader in real-time cloud information systems, announces its partnership in the new Connected Intelligence Global Partner Ecosystem founded by Advantech B+B SmartWorx (formerly B&B Electronics).  Skkynet’s SkkyHub™ service will support the project goal to “create intelligent networks that can collect, manage, and analyze the data generated by billions of sensors, transforming that data into actionable intelligence that lets companies make predictions and prescribe actions to cut costs, increase productivity or increase revenue.” The partnership will launch with a focus on the Internet of Things (IoT).

“This ecosystem, which will bring IoT to life, has the potential to redefine industrial process control, taking it to a whole new level,” said Paul Thomas, President of Skkynet. “Combining the Advantech B+B SmartWorx platform with SkkyHub means remote devices in any location can now connect directly and securely to the cloud, enabling real-time monitoring, control, networking, and big data collection at a far lower total cost of ownership (TCO) than previously thought possible.”

“We’ve aligned with companies like Skkynet who are credited with some of the most innovative technologies and solutions in their industries,” said Advantech B+B SmartWorx CEO, Jerry O’Gorman. “We’re excited about the potential they bring to our Connected Intelligence Global Partners Ecosystem, and ultimately, to the customers using their services.”

The physical infrastructure of the ecosystem is provided by Advantech B+B SmartWorx, whose hardware and connectivity stack aggregate raw data from disparate devices and protocols, and transforms it into useful information. Skkynet’s SkkyHub service provides secure, end-to-end bidirectional connectivity between the Advantech B+B equipment and end users at all levels, from operators and plant engineers to managers, analysts, and customers. The service is capable of handling over 50,000 data changes per second per client, at speeds just a few milliseconds over Internet latency. Secure by design, it requires no VPN, no open firewall ports, no special programming, and no additional hardware.

“Finding the right partners to fit a specific application’s requirements enables our customers to achieve better results than a ‘one size fits all’ approach,” said Mike Fahrion, director of IoT and edge intelligence product development at Advantech B+B SmartWorx.
